Client: MyPeople Health, a Chicago-based healthcare startup, is on a mission to prevent cancer through a comprehensive care coordination platform.
Challenge: The founders of MyPeople Health aimed to simplify the complex administrative tasks associated with preventive cancer care and early detection screening. To bring this vision to life, they sought a development partner with expertise in intuitive web applications and HIPAA-compliant architectures.
Solution: SSI’s engineering team developed a user-friendly, web-based platform powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The platform allows patients to manage their care journey through clinical coordination, information organization, and centralized care documentation. Key features include appointment scheduling, progress tracking, a doctor database, personalized care paths, journaling, and an administrative portal. Additionally, users can sync their calendars with third-party platforms like Google, iCal, and Outlook to explore resources on cancer research and related topics.
Result: Currently, MyPeople Health is in beta testing and incubated at MATTER, the largest healthtech incubator in the Midwest. This phase includes gathering data on user journeys, engagement, and the functionality of platform features to further refine the solution.
