It connects hundreds of premium brands and thousands of retailers with shoppers, providing real-time local inventory. The platform also enables online in-store pickup or same-day delivery purchases from nearby locations.
Challenge: Locally required a dedicated development team to enhance their platform with an analytics module for inventory and user impressions. This module would provide brands and retailers with actionable insights derived from vast amounts of raw, scattered data generated by the platform.
Solution: Given our proven expertise in delivering data-driven solutions globally, the client engaged us as their trusted technology partner. Our experts extended the client’s platform by developing a robust analytics module. The system now periodically captures snapshots of products, brands, stores, and inventory data from the MySQL database, along with user impressions from Elasticsearch. This data is stored in temporary tables, transformed for analytics, and saved in dedicated analytics tables. SSI upgraded the existing web application with new modules that visualize analytics using charts and tables. Users can now filter data and select specific time periods to analyze various aspects of the data. The system also enables deeper exploration of analytics for detailed insights.
Result: The enhanced Locally platform now enables brands and retailers to analyze inventory by store, region, and product category and assess user impressions and engagement by region, impression type, and product.
