Client: Grandview Analytics is a Chicago-based professional services firm dedicated to the financial industry. The firm provides specialized project-based consulting to address complex business processes, data management, and technology challenges for banks, investment managers, financial technology companies, and other financial service providers.
Challenge: The client needed a web-based platform to help private equity firms and portfolio companies efficiently capture and manage tax data, key financial metrics, and strategic objectives. The goal was to support these firms with enhanced operational advisory, data strategy, and analytics capabilities.
Solution: In collaboration with Grandview Analytics, SSI developed a comprehensive platform to streamline the management of security tax entities and critical financial data. Grandview Analytics provided business logic consulting, while SSI engineered the platform branded as “ViewOne.” The platform was built to support multiple user roles and functionalities:
- Equity Investor (EI) User: The users can request financial reports from portfolio companies, review submissions, and approve the data provided by portfolio companies.
- Portfolio Company (PC) User: Creates entities and submits security tax models, including capital information, ownership changes, and legal summaries, based on the specific dates requested by the EI.
- EI Super User: Combines the capabilities of an EI User with the added responsibility of managing system users and permissions.
Result: The platform enabled private equity firms to seamlessly request, manage, and analyze security tax data across multiple portfolio companies. This streamlined data management process allowed firms to generate financial reports more efficiently while enhancing their overall data strategy and analytics capabilities.
