Client: Locally.com is a leading US based company that owns a comprehensive online platform for online - to – offline shopping connecting hundreds of premium brands and thousands of retailers to shoppers with real-time local inventory. The platform further enables online purchases for nearby in-store pickup or same-day delivery.

Challenge: Locally required a dedicated development team to extend the existing locally platform with an analytics module for inventory and user impressions to help assist Locally’s clients (brands and retailers) with insights coming from large amounts of raw, scattered data generated from the Locally platform. We were hired based on our competency and unsurpassed dedication to deliver according to the client's requirements.

Solution: Our experts extended the existing Locally system. The system periodically takes snapshot of products, brands, stores and inventory data from MySQL database and user impressions from elastic search and stores it in temporary tables automatically. The data is transformed for all analytics and stored in the analytics specific tables. The existing web application has been extended with the addition of new modules to show new analytics in the form of charts /tables. New controls were provided to select time span and filters to see different aspects of analytics. The system allows users to drill down analytics to see more details.

Result: Brands and Retailers are now able to analyze inventory by stores, regions and product categories and end user impressions and engagements by regions, impression types and products.
