Challenge: Biofilm approached Strategic Systems International to implement a comprehensive supply chain optimization suite.
Solution: The key processes involved in implementing the supply chain optimization suite were demand forecasting, manufacturing planning, plant scheduling and trim optimization & Slitter scheduling. Trim optimization was done by optimizing order consolidation to minimize trim loss, and schedule slitters to maximize throughput and meet custom delivery dates
Result: SSI leveraged its strong expertise in data science, data integration and supply chain management skills to develop an application that allowed BIOFILM in managing their operations in an optimal way.
