Challenge: Digitally Enabled Recruiting Firm had a comprehensive reporting platform built using Microsoft SSRS that provided reports around two major categories: Operational Reports and Analytical/BI reports.
The existing platform provided operational reports efficiently, but the analytical reports developed using Microsoft SSRS did not fulfill end-user requirements. The existing analytical reporting feature lacked flexibility, resulting in redundant reports displaying similar information.
The client engaged Strategic Systems International (SSI) to develop a new reporting solution for Analytical Reports using the latest tools and technologies, ensuring a more efficient and effective reporting experience.
Solution: SSI built a comprehensive BI solution for the client. The teams at SSI used Microsoft SQL Server SSAS to construct a data warehouse that serves as a data source for all analytical reporting. This data warehouse is updated every thirty minutes.
SSI developed three Power BI-based dashboards providing insights at different levels. The detailed data can also be viewed as provided drill-down reports and visuals in each dashboard. All three dashboards were secured by proper role management. End users could only view data they were allowed to view using Row Level Security (RLS).
Result: The intuitive dashboards enabled users to gain immediate insight into operational and financial data. Executive management is able to efficiently evaluate the performance of individuals and teams against their goals, eliminating the need for tedious manual tasks.
