Client: CloudFlow is a subscription-based cloud computing platform that empowers small and medium-sized organizations to set up and manage their network infrastructures. Each organization can further divide its network into segments and assign specific policies for individual departments, enabling each department to operate its private cloud within the main organizational cloud environment.
Challenge: Network topology is a critical feature for CloudFlow, allowing users to visually design their network by placing devices on a virtual canvas, linking them, and applying security and authentication policies. The challenge was to enable users to create custom network topologies in a web browser by dragging devices from the Device Navigation Panel onto the canvas while ensuring that all standard networking protocols were adhered to. The most significant hurdle was ensuring compliance with these protocols throughout the process.
Solution: CloudFlow partnered with SSI to deliver a highly intuitive topology without compromising standard networking protocols. SSI integrated ExtJS and Draw2D to create a dynamic topology canvas, enabling users to design, reserve, validate, and provision entire organizational networks. Socket communication was employed to ensure real-time validation of network actions, safeguarding protocol compliance at every step.
Result: With this advanced topology solution, CloudFlow offers a significant competitive edge in the cloud computing market. The enhanced Device Navigation Panel provides clients with a seamless, user-friendly experience managing complex network infrastructures while maintaining protocol compliance.
